"Half Barrel is a great little brewery in the woods between the eastern side of Lehighton and Penn’s Peak/Jim Thorpe. Getting there can be tricky but Google Maps led us there appropriately, just follow the signs up the dirt path. We walked in and were greeted promptly by the owner who seemed like he knew us for years. He brews as a hobby and is happy to quench the thirsts of locals and visitors alike in his own backyard brewery. There is a bar inside with seating along with some tables and tabletop games. Outdoors is a covered pavilion with seating, uncovered seating and a firepit. This would be a great place to enjoy a fall brew outside with the leaves falling around you! There are ten beers on tap, all unique from eachother and taste great! We really liked the Vienna Lager & the Vanilla Cream Ale. My wife and I are looking forward to visiting again and seeing what’s new!"
