"We've been here once before, years ago, and they didn't have anything gluten reduced for me to drink, including wine, seltzer or cider. We were hoping it would be different this time since we ran across a canned Saison by them a year or so ago at a bottle shop in Durham. Initially we were told they didn't have anything for me. But upon further discussion, one of the people we were speaking with remembered that one of their tap beers was a collaboration with another brewery in Burlington and Clarex was used as the clarifier. So that beer was actually gluten reduced, but just wasn't advertised as such. The name on this one was pretty funny (Oprah, Barbara Walters, something, something, something...), but it was a stout, which I was more than happy to try. The nose on it was exceptional and the beer itself was very smooth and had a good flavor profile. Not too sweet, but bold. They didn't have it canned, but we were able to take it with us in growlers. So we took 2 of those home. I was told they are working on some more smaller batch beers that they plan to use the Clarex clarifier in, which will make them gluten free, or gluten reduced if that's your preferrred language. I'm excited to see what they come out with next that I can drink, and I just hope it's a Saison or Sour and not another bloody IPA."

"So my first Saxapahaw visit happened just a couple of Saturdays ago. It started off with a hike before lunch at The Eddy followed by a walk-through of the ballroom, and eventually getting to Haw River Farmhouse Ales. The picture of the flight, without the cookies, was from my first visit and the group of my friends, and I actually all decided to visit just that next Saturday. Parking was a little bit tough with all of the vendors set up everywhere, but once we found a spot, it was awesome! Ending our day here, at Haw River Farmhouse Ales was just perfect. The bartender, I believe his name is Carl, is awesome. Super friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. It’s a little bit of a drive or I would be more of a regular. Definitely has that cozy & fun atmosphere that you don’t know how much you need it until you’re there. Do yourself a favor and make a day out of it."

"Love the small pours option Place is small but an incredible spot. Love how they kept and integrated the old walls. Love the railing for the beer. Outstanding service by bartender. Had a Mexican chocolate and a hot pepper one. They were both tasty and unique."

"We reserved the taproom for our small party of 3 😂. We loved it. Weather was great so we sat on the outside patio and had the place to ourselves. Service and beers were great. Definitely want to do this again."
