"What a cool place!!! We stopped in on a Tuesday evening to check out out. You can tell they're a brewery first and produce a short, but very respectable list of beers. You can tell the brewer cares a lot about the craft. The classics like their Festbier, a German lager in the style of Oktoberfest (which actually happens in September 😎) don't push boundaries, but form an impeccable foundation for people who just want a good, simple beer. On the other end of the spectrum, their Brombeer Limette is creative and complex, delightful for even the most critical and adventurous. Although they call it an "IPA", it genuflects toward a good sour.
It's basically a big garage/warehouse with a few picnic tables and a huge lawn. Tons of parking. Absolutely the kind of place you come with a group on a summer or fall evening. A great place to relax, unwind, and hang out with friends. No real food to speak of but we saw people had brought pizzas and other stuff with them. If you want a seat, you might want to bring a lawn chair although they do have a few stools around.
What really sealed it though was the pinball! They have like 20-30 pinball machines from super classic 50's models, to the super modern ones that are partly video games. They even had The Addams Family, a pinball game I was totally addicted to when I was a college student in the mid 90's. I dropped $10 on that and it was the purest, most unadulterated fun I've had in a long time. There was some sort of pinball league/tournament going on that night and it was fun just to watch people play, too!
Even if we don't end up moving to this neighborhood, I have a string feeling we'll be back here!"
