Regarded by many as one of Buffalo's best breweries. Resurgence Brewing Company first opened its doors on Niagara Street in Buffalo in June 2014. Today, they brew nearly 5,000 gallons of beer weekly at their state-of-the-art facility on Chicago Street. Since opening in June 2019, this location has become a key part of the revitalization of Buffalo’s Old First Ward neighborhood. The Chicago Street location features a brewery, taproom, beer garden, and banquet center, all housed in the former EB Holmes Machinery Company building. Founded in the mid-1800s, EB Holmes revolutionized the process of making wooden barrels, adding a rich historical backdrop to Resurgence’s vibrant space.
