"Our first time here, and we brought our dog. We ate outside on the walk near the sidewalk. Our waitress was so kind and patient. We really appreciate how they took care of our dog with ice water and milk bones. It was really important for her confidence in a public place.. we absolutely would come here again. The food and service was fantastic. Thank you for loving on our doggo."

"We were so excited to try this place for dinner after reading great reviews. We tried to call at least four times to do call-ahead seating, but each time, no one would answer, a recorded message would come on, and the line would disconnect. We were a little concerned, but decided to head there anyway. When we got to the restaurant, we were turned away for a table because they were too busy and weren’t seating any more tables for the night that hadn’t done call-ahead seating (this was about an hour before they closed). We explained that we had tried several times to call, even showing the hostess our call log to confirm we had been calling the correct number. She told us that they probably hadn’t answered the phone because they were busy that night. How on earth is anyone supposed to get a table if you have to do call-ahead seating but no one answers the phone when you call? We were SO disappointed. Luckily, we found Strangefellows Pub a minute away, which completely saved our evening- highly recommend going there instead."

"Most of the Rutland Beer Works I've had has been cans. Hide and Seek is a favorite. We opted to take the day and head south to Rutland to check them out. There is one main complaint, which isn't really the brewery's fault, but it's worth mentioning to help others out. If you're planning to check in using Vermont's online beer passport app (Vermont Brewery Challenge), DO NOT go to Hop and Moose. While that's the tasting room, it will not count as having visited the brewery. You have to actually head to the actual brewery out on Granger Street. Food at Hop and Moose was good. Beer list is substantial and they do flights ($8 for four 5-ounce beers). We tend to all do a flight so that we can go through everything on the list. Some of the beers on the list are can only and not available for flights, but our waitress helped out there. We were able to sample everything that way."
