"I have so many great things to say about this place, from the people to the food. Food: We were politely provided some chips (fries) and curry from the owner (which I did not know at the time). Both the fries and the curry were exceptionally flavorful and made me rethink about English cuisine (kidding). My wife bought a gin and tonic with a great citrus gin and Mediterranean tonic which went down smooth and was actually tasteful even to myself as a non-drinker. Service: Nicky who helped us with the drink inside was so kind and patient and gave my wife recommendations which is how she ended up with her great G&T. The owner, Bradley, was not only an amazing gentleman but super funny and kind. This is the type of place you go to because it makes you feel warm and at home. Aesthetic: English goods line the back wall and artifacts from England line all the other walls, feeling like you are in a pub somewhere in southern England. Such a cool feel."

"Terrible on multiple levels - beer, customer service, and the taproom condition. The beer is clearly contaminated, with a hefe, neipa, and golden all tasting sour, so infected. It's completely unacceptable. For the record, I'm British living in the US, and I am very familiar with Cask, a member of CAMRA, and regular attendee at cask festivals. This is a poor representation of cask beer, and no matter what serving style, whether keg or cask, this is just bad beer. As for customer service, we walked in and said 'hey how are you?' and the British guy grunted and put his head down. Then were told that they had closed the kitchen, more than 30 min before closing, despite their website saying that the kitchen was open until 7pm, and there was a sign outside saying that the kitchen was open. The taproom itself is dark and smelly, and it looks nothing like a decent pub from my home country. All in all, this is a pathetic excuse for a brewery and, frankly, should be shut down for its dodgy infected beer. Oh, good view of the lake, though. See pictures. [Edit - The owner has subsequently left a response on my wife's review calling her "abrasive" which is a complete lie, and frankly sexist and racist to say to a woman of colour who made a friendly 'hello how are you' on entering the brewery. I guess he thinks that woman should not speak]"

"Such high expectations cos this was a recommendation by extremely experienced beer-friend The Cask Whisperer. Absolute disaster. No food despite their website & sandwich board stating to the contrary. We would not have come at this time if their information was up to date. British owner/staffer declined to engage with us. All the British snacks they had were inedible (hello cheese & onion walkers 🤮). All the beers tasted the same and were clearly infected. I’m frankly embarrassed that people in upstate NY think of this as a British pub experience."

"As a Brit this place is a real taste of home. The pub itself is a lovely, cozy, place that has all the charm of an authentic British local. The cask beers are traditional to the UK but hard to find in the States, so if you’re looking to try something different, this is the spot. The grounds are also spectacular with gorgeous views on Seneca Lake. Other highlights are the cask beer festival they hold in the summer, as well as Bonfire Night, which is a traditional British holiday that takes place on Nov 5th. They also sell popular UK snack foods and other imported treats. The last time I visited they still hadn’t found a new chef, but I hear they are trying to reopen the kitchen as soon as they can. There’s nothing else quite like it in the area. Update June 2024: They recently reintroduced their food menu and their savory pies are hands down the best I’ve had outside of the UK. Plus they’re accompanied with creamy mash potato, traditional mushy peas and fantastic homemade gravy. All around one of the most authentic British food and drink experiences you can have stateside. 5 stars all round."

"A home that’s been magically transformed into an authentic English pub, serving proper English cask ales. All delicious, especially the English Bitter & Old Cranleigh! If you’re not familiar with cask ales, they’re not carbonated & served at 55° instead of the standard 37° you’ll find at your typical brewery. Authentic, proper English food as well; their minted lamb cottage pie’s amazing!! Not your typical brewery, highly recommend stopping by! (oh and for dog parents out there — they’re dog friendly too!)"
