"Edit to Owner response: To reference my initial review, I specifically mentioned that the bartenders assisted multiple patrons who came up to the bar directly next to us (at the middle of the bar), BECAUSE we noticed that there was a section at the end of the bar for ordering (that people throughout the brewery would line up at), however, as previously mentioned, multiple patrons at the bar were being helped as well, and, well, we had a seat at the bar. Had it been the case that they were only taking orders at the end of the bar, we would have gone to the end of the bar to order and this review wouldn't have been written. It was clearly purposeful, and as off-putting as the initial encounter was, the insinuation that we were doing something wrong by the owner is downright insulting. The first time we came to Steinhardt we really enjoyed it but today we went in for the second time and for some reason experienced the weirdest, most off-putting treatment by the bar staff that made us uncomfortable and likely to never return. My SO and I came in and sat at the bar and looked at the menu for a few minutes to decide what we wanted. They were pretty busy when we first arrived so we didn't question no one coming over to greet us while we were perusing the menu. We decided and waited for a staff member to come over. After about 8 minutes of staff walking past us without acknowledging us (we were seated at the middle of the bar), we started attempting to make eye contact and let them know we were ready to order. At this point the bar had slowed down and there were open seats on both sides of us. Both staff members behind the bar (a blonde girl with a blue flannel on, and a younger male with curly mid length brown hair) completely avoided eye contact with us and seemingly were intentionally not serving us. We continued to make eye contact over the next 7 minutes and watched as they immediately greeted and served 3 separate people who came up to the bar directly next us on either side. We decided to just leave because at this point it was clear they were intentionally avoiding just us for whatever reason. We've never had a single interaction with either of these people and even after wracking our brains we have absolutely no idea why we were singled out and treated so coldly. After this experience, I highly recommend heading next door to Idiom for better beer and staff members that won't blatantly ignore you and actually want to take your money."

"The place is transformed from a historic factory building that occupied an entire block so it is long and spacious. There is no kitchen but a rotating local food truck just out side of the door. Dog friendly. We had three bears. Orange peach, a Belgium style golden ale, is pretty good. The three wise man is a Trappist style Triple, not as intense as a true Trappist bear, but decent. The Czech dark larger is a little bland. There are Jam session or open mike on one end of the building."

"Stopped in on a Sunday late afternoon in January. They have plenty of beer selections and seltzer options. I had the blood orange IPA and thought it was good. The bartenders were attentive and personable. The atmosphere was easygoing. There was music which was nice. The little creek is just outside the doors - in January the water was frozen but I imagine it is very nice in the warmer months to just be outside enjoying the weather. There was a food truck out in the parking lot - I didn’t eat anything. Parking was easy enough but the lot was small. It might be full in better weather but I’m sure there is street parking nearby. They are dog-friendly here and there were multiple well behaved dogs inside. I’d stop in again if in the area."

"We have been going to Steinhardt Brewing to Thursday Night Pour House Trivia for several times now. Well attended and lots of fun! The location has two large areas, and outside seating when it is warmer. The one area has a bar and live music. The area we sit in is equally as large and hosts the trivia. Lots of various beers including Ales, Lagers, Belgian and Stouts. Our favorite is the Orange Haze. Comes in various sizes as well! There is also Seltzer which you can add various flavors. In regards to food,, you can either bring your own or visit the food trucks stationed outside. We have done both! They also have games like darts, which can be lots of fun. Service is excellent. The trivia host is fantastic and all the servers and bartenders are outstanding. Overall, a great experience! Enjoy!"

"Really great beers, and a great atmosphere.. you can not go wrong with a place with beer, windows, open doors, music, tons of room, and great people!!! They have live music as well as a radio.. very open and airy. They have food trucks around as well. They are in a great location with a lot going on in the area. Four or five breweries all beside each other. The building is awesome and very old with a ton of character and charm. Animals are welcome here too!!!"
