"The beers, by themselves, are near five-star. The bourbon barrel stout may be about the best I've had, anywhere. If you like bourbon this is a must-have. Other IPAs were good, but nothing that is overly distinctive from other area breweries.
So why the 4 stars?
I've visited twice in 3 weeks and both times the staff (bartenders in particular) were just...okay. Nothing overly friendly, one young man had a hard time with eye-contact and would say, "cheers" while staring at the ceiling. He did this 3 times. Others were pleasant but I felt like they wanted to be elsewhere. Another disappointment is that there is no paved driveway or parking lot. My wife found out the hard way: do not get a pedicure and wear sandals and go there after it rains. It's impossible to avoid mud and standing water. Good beer, good-looking facility, but there are other areas to improve upon."
