On a stormy night in April 1970, history was made as Apollo 13 launched into the unknown. Little did anyone know, a feisty, short, bald genius was born in Illinois, destined to lead an interesting life. Fast forward through school, various jobs, a dash of stand-up comedy, and travels across Las Vegas, Long Beach, Chicago, and Wilmington, NC, until landing in Brooklyn in 2006. There, in Red Hook, a passion for craft beer ignited while homebrewing in a small railroad apartment, transforming a hobby into an all-consuming pursuit. A bold move was made to trade the sunny shores of North Carolina for the opportunities of Western NY, fueled by a commitment to keep the dream alive. Along the way, some “business partners” joined the adventure. After seven long years of five different names, three locations, one lawsuit, and a few quirky encounters, Triphammer Bierwerks emerged—a testament to craft brewing, passion, legacy, and, of course, great beer.
